In December 2025, KEW Legal® completed the negotiation and execution of a commercial lease for an interior design client taking space in Miami’s Design District.
The firm reviewed and redlined the landlord’s form lease, then negotiated through multiple rounds against the landlord’s counsel, comparing each returned version against the prior redline so that nothing reappeared unnoticed.
As terms settled, KEW Legal® worked through the financial mechanics with the landlord’s counsel and the client’s accountant — the breakdown of the security deposit and prepaid rent, whether those figures included taxes, and the wire sequencing required for execution.
The firm also prepared a written digest of the executed lease, setting out the significant terms and the client’s ongoing obligations in a form the client could use to operate under the lease rather than rediscover it later.
KEW Legal® stayed with the matter through landlord execution, key handover, and premises access.
“A lease is a document your client has to live inside for years,” said Kristina E. Wilson. “Handing them a signed copy isn’t finishing the job. Telling them what it now requires of them is.”
