Our founder, Kristina Wilson, was among 8 honorees selected this year for the WCC’s coveted Thelma Gibson Award.  This honor celebrates corporate and professional women that have excelled in promoting leadership, excellence, and business development.  Kristina spoke about overcoming adversity, making an impact, and knowing your purpose.  “…that’s what matters and that’s what remains after we are gone,” said Kristina.  She also recognized her support network for helping her along her journey. On August 25, 2023,  Kristina E. Wilson of KEW Legal, P.A., was honored as the 2023 recipient of the Badass Woman of the Year in the law category presented by The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.  The event aims to promote women in professional roles breaking glass ceilings and accomplishing notable feats in industries typically dominated by men.  Along with this prestigious recognition, Kristina was able to donate a $1,000 gift to the 100+ Women Who Care Organization, which supports local charities in the South Florida area.

In October 2022, KEW Legal was included as part of the Law Firm 500, which recognized the top 500 fastest-growing law firms in the country.  We are proud to receive the Law Firm 500 Award, which celebrates our team’s success.

On August 03 2022, KEW Legal® represented real estate development company, TB Isle Resort LP, as a borrower on a $412 million refinancing provided by Bank of China, New York Branch, that acted as administrative agent for the lenders. The refinancing is part of a major renovation and expansion project of the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. Kristina E. Wilson spearheaded this transaction with the support of other members of the real estate team.  “We were very happy to assist our client in a smooth transaction and exceed their expectations by delivering ahead of schedule,” said Kristina E. In September 2023, KEW Legal assisted its Aventura based client in their $12mm corporate restructuring and buyout.  “As a result of this restructuring our client will now be able to expand its operations throughout the Southeast.  This deal was contemplated by our client for years and we were honored to assist them and help them get across the finish line,” said Kristina E. Wilson.

In June 2023, KEW Legal, P.A. was inducted to the Chairman’s Roundtable of the Aventura Marketing Council.  The AMC is mixture of entrepreneurs, governmental officials, judges, and community leaders who come together to network, create business relationships, and give back to the community. 

In December 2022, attorney Kristina E. Wilson was nominated in the business category for the BWOTY Awards hosted by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and City National Bank.  This ceremony recognized powerful thought leaders and female business owners and professionals in a variety of industries and sectors.
