Karina Fernandez joined KEW Legal as an associate attorney with experience in real estate, business, and corporate transactions. She focuses on guiding clients through every stage of their ventures, from entity formation and business structuring to commercial and residential real estate transactions, leasing, and ongoing corporate governance. Karina regularly assists clients with purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, shareholder and membership interest agreements, commercial leases, and a wide range of commercial contracts. She is a meticulous drafter and negotiator who works to anticipate issues before they arise and align each matter with her clients’ practical and financial goals.
Prior to joining KEW Legal, Karina worked closely with business owners, investors, and real estate developers, handling a broad spectrum of transactional matters. She has participated in major real estate acquisitions from the due diligence phase through closing and post-closing management, as well as complex business transactions involving multiple entities and stakeholders. In her practice, Karina is focused on streamlining processes, spotting and minimizing risk early, and building efficient legal frameworks that support her clients’ business objectives.
Karina is known for building strong, long-term relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand their businesses, communication styles, and priorities so that working together feels collaborative, efficient, and straightforward. Clients appreciate her responsiveness, clear explanations, and ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical next steps. In advising clients, Karina emphasizes open communication, practical solutions, and proactive planning to help protect their interests, minimize risk, and support sustainable growth.
Outside of her practice, Karina is passionate about giving back to her community through her philanthropic initiative, Karina’s Kidz, where she devotes her time and resources to supporting and empowering children and families.
