That paperwork includes offer letters, individual agreements, restrictive covenants, and the employee handbook. KEW Legal is a Florida business law firm with offices in Coral Gables and Sunny Isles Beach. We act as outside general counsel for business owners across Miami-Dade and South Florida, and employment documents are part of that work.

What Florida Employers Need Written Down, and Who This Service Is For

Most Florida employers need three kinds of written documents: individual employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, and an employee handbook.

Individual employment agreements set out the job, the pay structure, and the key terms for one role.

Restrictive covenant agreements limit what a worker can do after leaving, such as competing or soliciting customers.

Employee handbooks list company policies, conduct rules, and how to report a concern.

Many small employers start with a verbal promise or a short offer letter.
